As recently as November 4th, 2008, James A. Winkler, stage name: Jamie Winkler performed for a documentary/re-enactment entitled: Anatomy of a Takedown, projected to air on Discovery Channel sometime in 2009. He played the part of Captain Bernard Forsythe, who was the driving force and the go to man behind the scenes, operating as special violent crimes investigator, for the sniper shootings in the DC area back in 2003.
As his publicist, I had the arduous task of catching up with him this morning after a long hard day and night of shooting. This is what he had to say:

"Captain Forsythe was the primary focus of all the scenes shot yesterday so it was a long day; The cast and crew was excellent and this particular documentary will be very powerful and moving. Discovery Channel is excited to present Anatomy of a Takedown. Look for it sometime in April. I am very proud to have been a part of it. As I wrapped my final scene and shook the director's hand he said, "Brilliant work!" As an artist I often find it difficult to put a price on my craft but that was the best compensation I could ever hope to receive. I drove home feeling slightly exhausted from all the emotional investment, the intense nature of the material, and the long, hard day's work but I was also elated for having crossed a new threshold in my acting career."
Jamie Winkler has starred in numerous TV shows such as the Discovery Channel, Movie of the Week, Diagnosis Unknown, The New Detectives, America's Most Wanted and many others. He has also performed on and off Broadway and has appeared as an extra from time to time in various small and big screen productions.
